Since September 2023, I have worked as a Creative Schools Associate with the Creative Schools Initiative, a national programme funded by the Arts Council and supported by Creative Ireland and the Department of Education. In this role, I collaborate with both primary and post-primary schools to integrate arts and creativity into their long-term development plans, supporting teachers and students to embed creative practices across the curriculum. To date, I have partnered with ten schools, helping each to identify their unique creative priorities and connect with local artists, cultural organisations, and community resources. A key highlight of my work involved coordinating and mentoring four undergraduate students from LSAD during their work placement module, guiding them to design and deliver a six-week creative workshop series in one of my assigned schools. The project culminated in a large-scale exhibition of pupils’ work, celebrating the impact of collaborative creative learning.
